WOW Mobile kickoff event slated for Gateway, Complete Care and Inspira

Gateway Community Action Partnership, CompleteCare Health Network and Inspira Health Network will hold a ribbon cutting event to officially kickoff use of the Wellness on Wheels (WOW) mobile.

The event will be held Thursday, November 2 at 10 a.m. at Holly Heights School, 2515 E. Main St., (NJ Route 49), Millville.

The fully-equipped, state-of-the-art mobile health and dental center was purchased and retrofitted through funding from Gateway, CompleteCare and Inspira. The unit cost $225,000 and will serve individuals and families of all ages, enabling them to access care and referral information for additional dental or medical services, as needed, in one location that is convenient to those most in need of services.

The three organizations each contributed $75,000 to purchase the WOW mobile. The vehicle will travel to remote locations for care, as well as participate in community health fairs and events.

“We are well aware of the rural nature of our service area and the need to bring services to the community when the community cannot access those services,” Albert B. Kelly, CCAP, Gateway president & CEO, said.

Likewise, Inspira and CompleteCare have worked since their inception to deliver quality, affordable health care and to break down barriers preventing the access to that care. In addition to locations with extended hours across the Southern Jersey region and innovative approaches to quality care, Inspira and Complete Care are models for health care excellence. The WOW mobile is the latest example of that philosophy and approach.

“Aligning with Gateway and CompleteCare for this project reinforces Inspira’s mission to provide high quality health services that improve the lives of all we serve,” John A. DiAngelo, Inspira President and CEO, said. “We are always looking for innovative ways to partner with community organizations to further this mission.”

“CompleteCare’s mission is to improve lives by providing comprehensive, high-quality healthcare to every person in every community that we serve,” said Curtis Edwards, President and CEO of CompleteCare Health Network. “This mobile unit and our partnership with Gateway and Inspira will certainly help us to further that mission by enhancing access for more people in our community.”

The vehicle will be owned by Gateway and licensed by CompleteCare with Inspira assisting with scheduling and facilitating essential community outreach.
