SECTION A-1 – ADVERTISEMENT OF BID / NOTICE TO BIDDER
NOTICE IS ISSUED THOUGH THIS ADVERTISEMENT, THAT SUBMISSIONS OF SEALED BIDS ARE INVITED BY THE OWNER FOR THE FOLLOWING PROJECT.

PROJECT: Gateway Head Start Learning Center
3050 Spruce Ave
Egg Harbor Twp, New Jersey
CONTRACT: Contracts shall be awarded in accordance with the requirements applicable law for the scope(s) of work referenced. All minority and women-owned contractors are welcomed to bid on this project and are encouraged to do so. Contract(s) shall be awarded to the lowest qualified bidder or group of bidders utilizing AIA documents and shall be awarded for the following:
ONE LUMP SUM BID FOR THE WORK OF THE ENTIRE PROJECT,
General Contractor. Include but not be limited to the following:
Secure all required permits
Site Work, excavation, fill, paving, curbing, sidewalks, building prep for foundation.
Survey work for all layout and “as builts”.
Foundation
Install Mobile Units. Owner has purchased units.
Mobile Unit Mechanical Connections and Start Ups.
Mobile Units “marrying”, paint etc.
Landscaping
STARTING ON February 1, 2017 , Bidders may obtain Project Documents. Bidders are to visit Gateway’s website to download construction documents.
Bids for the PROJECT shall be received by the OWNER at the following location;

Until the hour of 10:00 (A.M.) prevailing time on February 24, 2017. At this time, a public bid opening will occur.
Bidders shall further note that an Addendum may be issued prior to the receipt of bids.
Bid submissions must be provided in a sealed envelope. On the outside lower right-hand corner of the envelope, the Bidder shall clearly mark the name and address of the Bidder and the Contract for which the Bidder is bidding.
Each Bidder shall be required to submit with his Bid Proposal a Bid Bond, drawn in the Owner’s name from a notable institution of banking, (a bank, trust or surety company). Bidders may, in lieu of a Bid Bond, submit with their bid, a certified cashiers check, drawn to the order of the Owner in an amount whose sum is equal to ten percent (10%) of the Base Bid, but in no case is less than $500.00 nor to exceed $20,000.00.
The successful Bidder(s) shall be required to execute a Contract in the submitted AIA Forms for the performance of said WORK including the furnishing of all labor and materials as stipulated. In addition, the successful bidder shall be required to execute all required bonds as detailed in the Bid Documents, guaranteeing the performance of the Contract for the full Contract Price. The Contract and the Bonds shall be subject to the approval in form and content and execution to the Owner’s attorney.
No Bidder may withdraw his bid within Twenty ( 20 ) days after the actual date of the bid opening.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive any informalities as the interest of the OWNER may require.
Bidders are required to comply with requirements of The New Jersey , Davis Bacon and NJ Prevailing Wage Act, Copeland Act, and Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act (40 U.S.C. 327-333).
Site Inspection
There will be no scheduled site inspection as the land is cleared and vacant. Any requests to visit the site must be approved by the Construction Manager, Robert Magyar (609-364-3888).
