Area Santa needs some helpers

Area Santa needs some helpers

The holidays are a wonderful time of year – when families have some reason for cheer.
Gateway Community Action Partnership’s Family Success Centers know that well and are conducting food and toy drives again this year to assist families struggling to make ends meet and maintain a happy household.
The Holly City Family Success Center, 21 E. Main St., Millville, Rear Suite, is seeking donations of turkeys and other food items to help families prepare meals for Thanksgiving and Christmas. The agency’s three centers, located in Bridgeton, Millville and Salem, are also collecting new or gently used, unwrapped toys for children of all ages.
Just like Santa needs help spreading holiday cheer, so do Gateway’s centers.
Gateway’s centers are collecting toys for more than 50 families, to be distributed to those families at a holiday party on December 19.
Toys may be dropped off from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at the Family Success Center locations in Bridgeton (155 Spruce St./856-451-1133), Millville (21 E. Main St./856-327-1510) and Salem (14 New Market St./856-935-0944)
Deadline for toy drop-off is Friday, December 13.
For additional information or to coordinate toy drop-off, call any of the three centers.
